The Meishajian Scenic Area, known for its beautiful mountains and seas, attracts a large number of tourists, but the network coverage in some outdoor areas is weak. What should I do in case of emergency situations such as physical discomfort or accidental injury while climbing? The Yantian District Government and Shenzhen Telecom have jointly launched an emergency satellite voice call system, and one satellite communication column has been deployed on each of the two main mountain climbing roads in Meishan. When tourists encounter an emergency situation, they can press the emergency button on the communication column and directly connect to the Sanzhoutian Forest duty telephone or Meisha Police Station duty hotline, seamlessly connecting the entire process of "calling for help, receiving the alarm, and responding".

It is reported that the satellite communication column deployed in Meishan integrates the "Tiantong-1" satellite technology, adopts solar powered autonomous power supply and low-power design, does not require grid power supply, is suitable for use in mountainous areas, and is green and environmentally friendly.

From "passive rescue" to "active protection", China Telecom's integrated emergency network of air, space, and ground brings new changes. Satellite communication technology is accelerating its application in the fields of public safety and smart tourism, and is expected to become a security lever for communication weak areas such as mountainous areas and forests, building a technological defense line for people to travel with peace of mind.
